Prototyping Innovation: Iterative Digital Transformation at The Henry Ford
Wednesday, November 14, 2018 1:15 PM - 2:15 PM
Venue: The Curtis Hotel
Room: Jax (2nd floor)
How can museums go beyond tech for tech’s sake? How do they use cutting-edge technology like Augmented Reality and AI, while building to last? How can digital create new types of interpretation, while not distracting from heroic objects and hands-on experiences? How can museums use processes from the design thinking world while still building consensus at a large organization? Bluecadet and The Henry Ford will describe the process behind their Activating Innovation: Past Forward project of museum-wide experience design, sharing methodologies, learnings, heroic failures, and shared successes from their multi-year collaboration. With programs launching immediately before MCN and into 2019, this talk will be both a window into our learnings and a “sneak peek” at what’s to come.
