Review Process and Award Notification
The MCN Scholarship Committee will review all applications and select a diverse group of recipients based on their professional background, field of expertise, and current position. Applications from individuals who identify as belonging to groups that are underrepresented in the museum field will be given additional consideration. The Committee will be evaluating how valuable and essential attendance at MCN 2017 will be for the applicant’s development, institution, professional community, and/or the MCN annual conference. A short list of twenty applicants will be identified for video conference interviews approximately one month after the application deadline. The interviews will take place during the month of June 2017. The final 15 recipients will be notified within approximately fifteen (15) days after interviews are complete (by mid-July 2017).
Accepted scholars must confirm their participation in writing by August 1, 2017, at 11:59 pm EST.
A waiting list will be kept to allow others to attend should a spot become available.
